Swirfi is an idea over a decade in the making. Because I'm a pretty quiet guy, I think I'll just pass along a message from my wife, Melanie... her perspective was pretty neat and I'm humbled to share it!

"I’m proud to announce that Dave has invented a new fidget toy - the Swirfi! Back in 2008, he was inspired with the byproduct of one of the machines in the manufacturing company that he was working for at the time. To the company it was just scraps, but Dave had a greater vision for it. It sat in our “hopes and dreams” jar for years. Dave even forgot about it for a long time. He re-discovered it a couple years ago and decided to start figuring out how to make a version that kids and adults would enjoy. He engineered his own machine and persisted through many hours of development until he finally figured it out. It was a crazy process and I had no idea how he was going to pull it off... but he has done so brilliantly! It comes in 3 sizes - the top, the fidget and the coil. Each offer their own unique experiences and are unlike any other fidget toy out there. Thank you for taking the time to look at all Dave has accomplished!"

So that's pretty much the story of how one man's trash became another man's treasure. Many people have that one great idea that they end up regretting never doing anything with. Well, Swirfi is my one great idea that was just too good to leave in my hopes and dreams jar. Thanks to my wonderful wife for sticking with me through those many hours of failures as I worked to make Swirfi a reality for all of you fidget loving people out there.
